- Suzan and Tape went to Budumba with the purpose of monitoring and building another demonstration stove. They found the community members already gathered at the meeting place whereby they happily welcomed Kibo staff with joy. A short meeting was held which was led by the Chairperson of the Healthy and Safe kitchen program ( Mr Otim). He humbly welcomed Kibo staff and requested them to proceed. Kibo staff told the community they plan to build another demonstration stove and also asked them to participate in building the stove as Kibo staff guides them because the goal is to ensure that they master a skill in order to build stoves for the remaining members in the group. The community members welcomed the idea and worked together to built one demonstration stove. During the whole process, Tape and Suzan kept on encouraging the members to improve on their kitchens by smearing both the already made stoves and the kitchen walls for a better look. They also encouraged some members whose stoves had dried to begin using them for cooking and this will give them an opportunity to compare the differences between the traditional way of cooking on the three stones fire with the fuel efficient stoves. The community members sang and danced for the good work that Kibo had implemented in their village. Kibo staff urged them to continue with the same spirit of participation for a better developed community. The community promised to continue working together as a team.
