Other Committee Notes
David and Steven were in the village to continue encouraging the residents to work and improve on their sanitation standards. They also checked on the status of the villages,s borehole contributions .When David and Steven reached in the village,. They first moved in the different homes which were still lagging behind as far as the required sanitation and hygiene standards . They first visited the home of the most stubbornest members home . That home was for mr Ben . The Kibo staff along with the chairman of the borehole were so much encouraged by him .Because he had dug his toilet pit 18 feet deep and even constructed along it. When he saw the the Kibo staff along the way to their village ,he therefore followed them using his boda boda motorcycle.By the time mr Ben who used to be the stubbornest member before reaching the village ,he found while David and Steven were in a-small meeting with the committee members .He parked his motorcycle and joined the Kibo staff and the committee members .Ben said that he wanted to thank the Kibo staff along with the committee members for their time and love towards encouraging him to have a latrine .David was so happy and encouraged everyone in the meeting to appreciate him by clapping for him . They did so and everyone was so happy for Mr Ben. The second home which was visited was for mr Daudi Ekilitayo. For him he had done nothing and even he was using his neighbors latrine. The Kibo staff ordered his neighbors to stop allowing him to use their latrine . They gave him one week to dig his latrine . Out of the 9 homes which were lagging behind, the three were improving.Because you would see some new improvements and maintenances .On addition to that ,the Kibo staff saw it as important to call for an agent small meeting. The aim of that meeting was to figure it out how they would help the members who were still lagging behind. The Kibo staff and the committee members concluded their meeting by giving two weeks to those still not meeting the required standards.Secondly they said that all the committee members will be moving home to home .As away of encouraging and also bring everyone on board .Lastly they said that as they will be moving home to home they will also request for everyone’s contributions towards their borehole contributions. At the end of their small meeting the treasurer told Kibo staff that they had collected 250000 towards their borehole account. The Kibo staff encouraged them to continue contributing even if paying in installments.Because of the problem of the time factor the Kibo staff were forced to leave the village for ninja.
Ws Notes
The Kibo staff advised the water users committee members to keep their borehole compound clean.by constructing anew soak-pit and a good strong fence.
