- Notes
- This community has two wells. However according to the information got, these two wells have regular breakdowns and will need to come together and find a better solution to the problem. Alex went to Nawampiti to meet the area leader (Lc1) and introduce him to the community. He asked him about the needs of his village and the issues about the two wells. He appreciated Kibo and in this case Tom and CLTS program in his community. CLTS worked in this community about 3 years ago and the community attained an ODF status. He was happy to receive someone else from Kibo to his community and he promised to mobilise his community to continue working with Kibo. Alex first met with the LC3 at the sub-county to talk to him about what Kibo was planning to do again in Nawampiti and he welcomed the support. Alex then left a task with the LC1 and two community members to mobilise the whole community to have a general meeting about water and together find a way forward to fix their wells. Together with the sub-county Hand pump mechanic, they will open the two wells and find out the faults. Also they will need to form a new water user committee since there is no any active water committee in place.
