The committee members told the Kibo staff that they will continue encouraging the few homes which needs to be improved upon. 
Ws Notes
David and Steven were in the village to continue following up on few homes which were still not meeting the required sanitation standards.When David and Steven reached the village they were joined by the chairman of the village who escorted them to the following homes . The first home they visited and monitored the progress was for the defense of the village mr Ronald Luvaluka,s . They found him when he had finished the digging of his latrine . He had even covered his latrine pit . The Kibo staff appreciated him and even advised him to construct on it with in the remaining few days. They also went to the next home which was for mr Mugoya whose latrine was a half way down. The chairman of the village ,David and the Steven were encouraged by mugoya because he had also worked hard to maintain on the walls of latrine . They continued to the other home of mr kabakubya Daudi which was previously left practicing open defecation. Before they would even reach out that home ,mr kabakubya Daudi had locked up his home and was away . The Kibo staff and the chairman would not talk to anyone and Instead they decided to cross to his neighbors home they wanted to use kabakubya,s neighbor to sensitize him about the dangers of not having a pit latrine in his home .After the longer discussion with kabakubya,s two neighbors ,they all concluded that they will not allow kabakubya to use their latrines. The neighbors said that Instead they will encourage him to dig one and also teaching him about the dangers of not having pit latrine. After all that as the Kibo staff, David , Steven and the chairman were going back to the trading centre,they came across the chairman of the borehole. He told them about what they had came up with as a committee in order to help the members to make their hand washing facilities in their homes. The chairman of the borehole showed them a role of gauze wire they had bought in order to help whoever wanted to construct his or her hand washing station. The Kibo staff were so much encouraged because previously it was the most challenging sanitation facility because it was assessed to be missing in quite a good number of homes.On addition to that the Kibo staff and the chairman of the borehole and the village chairman made a trip to the other only shallow borehole they were left with .It was reported by the water users committee members to Falon, David and Steven during the previous visit that it was also down .Unfortunately the members had resorted to using the water from the nearby swamp. The valve,spring in the head pump,Ball bearings are needed to fix this shallow well. After that process the Kibo staff advised the members who were around to dig a good trench to channel the running water that washes away the borehole platform and members promised to work on that .The committee members told the Kibo staff that they had 35000shillings as their borehole account balance for this shallow broken well. They were told by the Kibo staff to start adding on the money they had towards there borehole account .In general the maliga village has worked and improved except one person who doesn’t yet have a pit latrine and sometimes defecates in the open or use for the neighbors . But the entire community were only making final touches to meet the required sanitation standards.
