Notes
Harriet went to Bukudumira to introduce the Healthy and Safe kitchen program to him this is because once he buys into the idea, he will mobilize the community for meeting. Harriet told him the goals and objectives of the program like the stoves will help women ,cook food fast ,spend less time in the forests looking for firewood which will give them ample time to do other home productive activities, eliminate smoke in the kitchen, reduce cases of fire accidents . The chairperson told Harriet the stove will not only help women to save time but also to reduce on the cases of domestic violence because some men beat their wives when ever they take long to cook food or looking for firewood. He also added that even cases of firewood safety are very high and who ever is caught is charged a lot of money and at times cause community conflicts. He later asked Harriet to go back on Friday 20th October and teach his community because he would have mobilized every one.
