- Notes
- Jeska found when the participants had just finished to build one stove and were busy stamping the dirt for two stoves for the two identified members for stoves.
Jeska looked at the stove that the community had built on their own but it was poorly done. The put a very long banana stem which will require the stove to use a lot of firewood for food to get ready and problem of saving firewood wouldn’t have been solved.
Kibo staff together with the community destroyed the stove and rebuilt it as she explained to the community the mistake they had made. She later guided the community as they built two stoves.
The community was very happy for Kibo’s approach taking time to explain and correct their mistakes . She also told them to wait to start building stoves on their own until Kibo staff assesses and allows them to start building.
This is also intended to save time and energy which could be wasted in case they built bad stoves.
