Notes
Abraham went to Ikumbya sub county CDO and this time he did not call him because whatever he calls him he is busy and now he found him in the officer. The CDO apologized for not responding to many calls Abraham made and he agreed to go and meet the village. They met thirty eight Ikumbya community members waiting for them in their usual meeting place. The CDO Mr Musene thanked the members for the hard work they are doing, mostly coming together as a community, he told them not to spend much time on politics because it is a dirty game. The chairperson of the group Mrs Nabirye thanked the CDO for helping them writing their constitution and she told the secretary to read the constitution through so that every persons is on the same page. The secretary read through their constitution and they found out that the CDO made some few changes like what they hope to do as a community together. The CDO said that something to be done as a group there is a lot of things to consider for example keeping goats it is a good idea but everyone in Ikumbya is growing sugar cane whereby they will not have a place to feed they goats, that is why he suggested as a group to do poultry because they will use a small part and they will be able to buy goats in future. The group members bought the idea that they want to start keeping the layer so that within short they will be able to sell eggs. Abraham thanked the CDO for leaving whatever he was doing to come and meet the group and told the meeting that since they want to start with poultry they have to how they will do it as individuals or as a group. They could not discus it in details because it was coming late and now they have to make three copies of their constitution so that one copy will remain with them, another copy will be taken to the sub county and another copy will be taken to the district where they will receive their certificate.
