- Notes
- Harriet had made plans to meet the Community Development Officer of Buhemba sub County and discuss with him and encourage him to go and see the activities done in sinde village.
Unfortunately did not find her at the sub county and since she did not have her contact she could not trace where she was. She decided to pass by the District and find out whether she was at the district or even find some one who might be having her contact.
Harriet went to the office of the District Community development officer to see if she can get her contact. She met the District Community Development Officer Ms. Nandudu who shared with some of the activities Kibo has done in Namayingo District and her intended plan to meet the Community Development Officer(CDO )of Buhemba Sub County and discuss Kibo activities in the sub county.
The DCDO told Harriet that it is a government requirement for the Non government organizations (NGO) working in the District to always work closely with the CDO’s to witness their activities and also the NGO should also submit their reports to district to support their work that they have done in the respective districts. This is because even if the CDO is transferred there is always a filled report to look at to prove the NGO’s work in the respective sub county.
She later gave her the telephone number for the Community Development Officer of Buhemba Sub County Ms Medred, Harriet reached her on the phone and she told her she was in Kampala may be to meet another day.
Harriet had to come back to Jinja and will make an appointment with the CDO to meet and discuss about Kibo’s activities in BUhemba sub county.
