- Out of the 50 homes in Nawandyo A upper section all the homes have got latrines . The only need was the members to improve on their sanitation facilities.

- David and Steven were in the village to monitor and assess the progress out of the assignments they had left with the village .Previously they had left the village to improve on their sanitation standards,construction of a good borehole fence ,good sock pit ,as well as contributing money towards their borehole account. When the Kibo staff reached the village, they were accompanied by mr Mohamed Gasemba one of the most active member around the entire village.Mr Gasemba Mohamed led the Kibo staff to were the residents had gathered under a mangle tree waiting for them . The meeting started by an opening prayer followed by the Kibo staff asking the residents to give a report about the assignment they had left previously. The members told the Kibo staff-that they had only cleaned up their compounds . They also said that they had only contributed 110000 shillings out of the 200000shillings. The village members continued and reported that concerning the hygiene and sanitation improvements all the members had all the necessary facilities. The only need was to improve and maintain on the old facilities. The Kibo staff assessed that the cause of the borehole getting broken always was that the borehole didn’t have a water user committee. Therefore on that note the Kibo staff advised the members to guide them as they form up new water and sanitation committee. After the the successful election of the new water and sanitation committee members about four men and women were elected were elected. The Kibo staff encouraged the Member slightly about their roles and responsibilities. They were thanked so much for allowing to take a lead as they get to save the rest of the entire village.Because of the limited time factor the Kibo staff promised the new members who were elected that they will be trained any time from time.On addition to that the Kibo staff requested the the member to set for there-selves a-set deadline date. They all agreed to work with in a time flame of two week from now. In conclusion the hygiene and sanitation status of Nawandyo A upper set wasn’t bad but only the members needed to improve and maintain on some of their old facilities.
