- Notes
- Harriet had planned to guide the participants as they build stoves on their own. Unfortunately she reached in the village when there was a funeral whereby two people had died in one family of a member of the Healthy and Safe kitchen program( Mr. Athieno)
One person had been sick for a while ( Atheino’s daughter) and her five year old child did not even fall sick but died immediately after the mother had just died. Because of this sudden all the people in the community decided to be at the funeral to be with the family that had lost their dear ones.
Harriet decided to join them at the funeral prayed with them, helped them to collect some firewood for cooking food at the funeral and encouraged them to avoid words that will bring divisions or even confuse them the more after the loss of their dear ones. She told them that some people may tell them that they know what has killed their dear ones which is too late or else they would have told them before so that they seek for the solution.
The family thanked Kibo for being with them both in sorrow and happy moments.
