Notes
Abraham and Nate met forty one Kishaike community members and the chairman thanked them for visiting the members, he said that when they take long without Kibo staff visiting them they do not feel good. The chairman has been calling Abraham to go and meet them and advise them about how they are going to handle the finance the government is hoping to loan them. They were called to go to Magada sub county which they did but when they reached their, the sub county chief wanted to know how many of them went and they said three. The chief said that he wants the members also and they started calling the members to come and twenty four members showed up. They were told that the government has a plan to help organized groups from village and their village was selected to be one of them. They were told that they are going to be given a loan from the government but they have to be trained first. The officers are going to come and train them on 21/11/2018 starting at 10 am. Abraham thanked the members for the good work done and he advised them to keep their books up to date and also once for a while to read for the members and they know how much the collected and used because that makes them know want their money is doing and it is easy for them to add more money if what they want to do costs more money, but if they just ask more money without telling them accountability the members will think the committee is eating their money. On the side of loan from the government Abraham advised them not to take the money without proper planing because it may result into selling their lands in order to pay back the loan. He told them to start thinking what project will they do with that money which will bring back profits for example growing rice and how are they going to make it work. The members said that the officer want Abraham to come organize one day so that they can meet the members together which Abraham accepted to do, they are going to meet tomorrow and discuss more so that the government officer will come on Wednesday when they have at least an idea of what they want to do. Abraham reminded them to be thinking how they are going to bring the offsprings back to the general pool. They finished registering their group at the district and they were given their certificate of registration.
