Notes
When Alex B arrived in village,he found the members of Bulyowa waiting for him at the usual meeting place. They had prayer together that was led by one of the members of the group. The chairperson of the group Mrs.Margate Mukunya started her speech by thanking all the members to turn up for the meeting. She asked the members as there was a need to discuss about how they are going to store and sale their fast harvest of groundnuts. She reported to them as they are waiting for rain to harvest. Her concern was since it is going to be their fast garden project. Bakaki Moses suggested that projects from the gardens should be recorded and that the person responsible for garden should have all information about it in writing. He also said the chairperson, secretary and treasury should also have records about those projects. Dongo Wilson suggested that the all the members must participate in harvesting, they will know how much will be taken for storing from the garden. He added that members to avail themselves in the process of drying them. The store should be from one of the executive members but all should be responsible. Alex B thanked all the members for their participation during the meeting and attendance. He advised them on the issue of storing their groundnuts to look for a member who has good and enough space to store the groundnuts. The person whose record is good since they started their group. He agreed with members to choose a group people to be responsible to them until they will be sold out. That group of people should agree with members how much groundnuts are in the store. He advised them when it is time to sale the groundnuts, the members meet and discuss how they will sale and the price per kilogram. The money from that project,he told them first to find out how much they spent or invested in it and how much was sold in order for them to know the profit. He further told them that after selling the groundnuts, members should meet and discuss what they should done next as a group. Besides about the garden project of groundnuts, members said they are soon renewing their registration. They already have the money for renewal which is meant to be done in December 2018 this year.
