Notes
David and Steven were in the village to train the community members about full borehole ownership and responsibility. They reached the village and before their meeting would get started , they were joined by the parish chief of that village mr kagoda shanon Muyingo . The parish chief came because he hard that the Kibo staff were going to teach the community about full ownership and responsibility of their borehole as well as allowing the members to start using it. He continued and said that the other reason as to why he came was also to witness as the Kibo staff were officially handing over the the borehole to the community after the borehole ground surface which was casted was ready to be used after the six days of the casting process . During the corse of their meeting the Kibo staff and the parish chief mr Kagoda shanon Muyingo they encouraged much the community members taking the full care and ownership of their borehole. They advised the members that it would not be Kibo always to do the repairs of their borehole for them. David advised the members to continue contributing money towards their borehole account. Currently they had 210000 shillings as their borehole account balance .Incase of any future brokerages the money at the borehole account will sustainably help the member. They were advised to keep their borehole compound and the sock pit clean always and to maintain their borehole fence stronger fence as well as their good home hygiene and sanitation standards. The committee members were advised to continue holding meetings in order to monitor how they would be progressing. After all that the Kibo staff guided the community members as they were replacing back the posts of the two members who had left the village yet they used to be members on the water and sanitation committee. These were the new members elected replacing the two members who had left the village Mr Lulindi Jesca elected as the borehole caretaker and Wulilu Samson as the one responsible for the information. David continued and advised them to love their work all the time .By taking the lead to serve and the rest would follow . On addition to that the members were told to go to the borehole. Before they were to start using it ,David demonstrated to them the right way of pumping. They prayed for the future sustainability of the borehole and the prayer was lead by David the Kibo staff and then the members started pumping the borehole. It was total joy all over the place members praising the work and the hand of Kibo in their community. Later the Kibo staff because of the limited time factor, they promised the members that they will be re visiting them one more time ,to guide them as they will be forming up their borehole bylaws.
