Notes
Martin reached and went to the VHTs home so as to move around with him in the lower area of the village to check on latrine construction, shower areas, kitchens, rubbish pits, and use of ash in latrines. In one home, they found when they are constructing a new latrine. Martin was so happy and encouraged them to also use ash in the latrine. A few of the community members told Martin to go to the VHTs home who doesn't have a latrine but when Martin reached there, he met the lady and she showed him, the latrine under construction with cement and told him that she is bringing bricks to start building on it.He explained to them why the whole community needs to have latrines because, they are helping them to reduce diseases. The community is so happy because kibo is helping them to teach them the importance of sanitation and hygiene in the village. Everyone is busy digging and cleaning his home.
