constitution writing
Notes
The members have drafted their constitution and it has 21 articles. Under those articles are subsections. Alex managed to discuss with them only few articles .Alex advised them to make it brief so that it is easy for all of them to understand it and work with it closely. Also it was noted that some issues that they had written are the same and they were relating the same things. Alex again advised them to make it better so it can be accepted by the government officials for purposes of their group being registered.
Alex also advised them to put in place a financial and discipline committee and the members promised to do lt soon. He told them that it will require them more money to write until they come out with a final copy. Also that they will have to pay money for registration to the district so as to get a certificate.
It was noted that some members want to change their names that are on their identity cards as the ones to be written in their constitution which they say are their legal names.
Also it was discussed that the group come up with names and the number of the members while making the final copy, but they are still making it better to fit their group.
The chairperson of the group Mrs.M Segonga reminded the members that the constitution can be worked on by few members but be accepted by all members of the group.she said that they will revisit the document before sharing it with the members so as to be fully accepted as the final constitution.
