- Notes
- Ida went to Bupeni and continued with the hygiene and sanitation lesson. She did a preview on the previous lesson which was great. The community learned that washing hands with water and soap is very important and can save very many things.
Ida asked the community to tell her some things that can be done to avoid diseases that are related to poor hygiene.
Namusuubo said that washing jerrycans. Amos said that building houses for both animals and chickens. Bagire said digging pit latrines and rubbish pits. Vienna said that boiling drinking water. Samson said if they put everything talked in practice, sickness related to poor hygiene will not be welcome in Bupeni and those small pharmacies will not be visited which will force them move to other places.
Ida did some washing demonstration which made the community realize how important soap is. Ida encouraged the community to always wash hands with soap before eating and not after. Washing with soap after eating doesn’t make sense because soap is used to kill germs.
The community thanked Kibo for the life lessons.
