- Alex followed up on the homes in the lower part of the village towards the swamp. This part of the village has got a lot of challenges because of its challenges and construction of the facilities more so the pit latrines is very hard. Alex managed to check on 23 homes in this section and he noticed significant improvements in all the areas of sanitation and hygiene. He moved with two village members and generally the village has greatly improved, he managed to see two new pits under construction and a new finished pit latrine. Alex also moved into Isamba section to check on some households there and determine if the village was ready for us to carry out a final evaluation( third evaluation). A discussion will be held with in the WASH staff members to decide whether the village is ready for a third evaluation. This village is another one considered for a new borehole but not until we see that it’s ready before this can be addressed. He met with the village leader and Alex told him to join the sanitation committee to keep encouraging the remaining individuals to complete working in their homes.
