Notes
Introduction Lorna went to the community to remobilize the community for the lessons since it was the first day. Overview Lorna reached the village and decided to move around a few homes to mobilize the community members to come for the meeting. In a few homes some members were telling Lorna that they are not comfortable coming to the meeting because of what happened during the post LC1 elections. Lorna told some of them to reconcile and get passed this for the betterment of their village. Lorna then went back to the meeting place. Lorna then went back to the meeting place. At the meeting place , Lorna waited a few minutes before other people joined them. When the members had gathered, the chairman welcomed everyone back and opened with a prayer and then invited Lorna. Lorna welcomed everyone and asked them for a way forward on getting more people to attend the meeting. Lorna told them what a few members told her while she was mobilizing. One Lovinsa said that perhaps we could change the meeting place as more people are saying the meeting place is not convenient for them. They decided to meet at the borehole on the next visit. The previous meeting place is believed to be the area of the current chairman. After this, Lorna started with the lesson of the day decision making. Lorna used the share your story subtopic under Decision making where they looked at specifically marriage. Lorna said before anyone decides to do anything in their life for example, before getting married, before deciding to make babies, build a house or anything else in life. Lorna asked them if all of them are married or had been married, they said yes. Lorna then asked what does one look at before getting married in other words what steps should one consider before making the decision to get married. They mentioned, one has to have a house, a job, food, Money among others. Lorna agreed with them that it is true one has to look around if they are prepared. She mentioned other things like; being mentally prepared to look after a family and another person apart from themselves, know the person very well to avoid surprises, seek advise, seek counsel from others who had been married before them, among others. Being the first meeting of 2019, they did not go further and Lorna just wanted to give them a plan on how they will be moving forward in this year and make sure they still remembered what they learnt previously . She concluded and said they will start from there on the next visit. Conclusion Lorna asked the chairman, his vice the mobilizer to mobilize the community members well for the next meeting. They also agreed to have the next meeting at the borehole.
