Village Notes
Kasuleta has greatly improved the fact that even the homes that previously hadn’t met the standards had greatly improved. Also the borehole is being maintained as compared on how it was being looked after sometime last year.

Notes
A visit to Kasuleta was such impressive the fact that Alex Managed to follow up specifically on those homes that previously hadn’t met the standards. On a good note, those 11 homes have improved greatly in that he saw new facilities. Also Alex together with two vhts visited other homes and he saw many facilities that were maintained. This village has greatly improved in general. It used to be a very challenging village in that sometime last year Alex decided to lock the borehole for more than two months. This was because Alex found when the borehole was extremely dirty and the village sanitation had detoriated with some people practicing open defecation. This tough love that Alex shown this village has greatly helped this village to the extent that now the borehole is highly maintained and people take good care of it. They are now working on replacing the old borehole fence with new poles already in place. Many people are benefiting from this well by making bricks which they sell to make a living. Many people were happy to see Alex back in the village and checking on them about their sanitation status in their homes. They also thanked him for reopening the borehole and they promised to take good care of their well. Also the village was mobilized to come for the general meeting on 6/01/2019 aimed at discussing ways of sustaining all these activities in their community on their own without any more Kibo partnerships with them through the WASH team. WASH is officially going to leave this village after making sure all the homes and the village is open defecation free.
