Notes
When Tom and the police officer arrived in the village, they started checking on homes where latrines are being constructed in the trading center. They first visited one home were they found that two residents in that section had finished the pits for the latrines and were just waiting for construction to start. One of the pits was 30ft while the other 25. They had also finished their dish racks and rubbish pits. Tom and the police officer thanked them for the work and encouraged them to continue working hard and improving on their sanitation and hygiene. Later they moved to several other homes where they found new facilities and in a couple of homes like about three, they found when they are still digging the pits. The police officer and Tom encouraged them to continue working and improve. Many homes now have very nice dish racks and Tom was also encouraging them about rubbish pits. Tom and the police officer together with the vht met with the chairman and discussed about some homes which are still lagging behind and the chairman said he will go and speak to them. Tom now plans to involve and talk about smearing in the village
