- Notes
- Suzan went to the village purposely to follow up on the stoves that were built in the previous visit and also to demonstrate how the banana stems are removed from the one week old built energy saving stoves.
When she arrived there, she went straight to the home where the demonstration had previously taken place and found some of the community members gathered with their L.C.1 chairperson. They happily welcomed her and after exchanging greetings, Suzan apologized for the quick meeting that had taken place in the previous visit due to the sudden change of weather. The community were so great full and understanding enough.
Suzan and the members immediately entered the kitchen and cross checked the stove which wasn’t properly completed. Together they went out and mixed some soil and water, carried it inside and made some few repairs. Suzan encouraged the members to keep on smearing their stoves and kitchens so as to avoid cracks and jiggers, also it would make the home look neat. Thereafter, they moved around a few homes monitoring how the stoves were used and maintained, the members were so great full for the new stove that was introduced in their community, saying how fast it cooked their food and saving time for other activities.
Suzan thanked the members for participating in the healthy and safe kitchen lessons and encouraged them to maintain the same spirit for an improved healthy life. The meeting came to an end after agreeing on the next date and time that the next meeting would take place.
