Notes
Ida went to Kigalama B to teach about the chicken feeds ratio. When rearing, one must know how much food to give to how many chickens. It is good to know and plan for feeds in order not to operate on loses. For example if one has twenty chickens, how much food does she/he need and is supposed to give? If one has an idea of how much to give to one chick, then it's easy to know the rest. Ida continued with the the lesson of how to mix Feeds for layers. LAYERS MASH Maize brand..................................69.2kgs Cotton seed cake..........................18kgs Silver fish........................................05kgs Shells...............................................6.8kgs Pre mix............................................300gm Salt...................................................300gms This food is given to layers only. 622 This woman made her own chicken coop. The cats have been eating her chicken and she was wondering how to end this problem.Kibo will be demonstrating how to build a good quality chicken coop. Nanangwe gives plain maize brand to her chics and complains that they don't grow. Ida encouraged her to buy some ingredients like silver fish and at least premix as they plan to make a group of ten to mix their own feeds.
