- When Martin and Enock reached this village, they first met with the chairman and the VHT since it’s been the first time this year to make a visit in this village. During the meeting, Enock asked the chairman and his cabinet how the village is progressing with the sanitation ever since they got a new well from kibo. The chairman responded how grateful and appreciative for what kibo group has done for them in this village. Sanitation levels have really increased, their are few cases of diarrhea in homes since many people embraced the program constructed latrines which are good and all in use. After the meeting, they walked around to check on latrines, shower areas, dish racks, kitchen area, emphasizing the residents to use ash in latrines to chase flies, teach the residents the importance of smearing the facilities, sensitize them how to maintain their sanitation and reminding them the importance and benefits of sanitation and hygiene. As we continued walking around we saw some new shower facilities and dish racks which are constructed well. The home which had lost its latrine due to bad weather like heavy storms, have already begun digging new latrine pits. When we met the owners of those homes, they promised to finish the construction of the structure pretty soon. During the discussion with the residents we encouraged them to always come for the meeting as we planning to teach them how to make good hand washing stations and their uses before we plan to completely phase out the program.

- The chairman LC1 has been so exemplary, case in point he has constructed one of the best latrine in the village.
