- Notes
- Manuela went to Luuka district to meet with the senior probation officer to discuss with him about Life Skills program which Kibo group is planning to implement in bukana primary schools. Besides that she also planed to meet the district education officer so that he can know about Life Skills program, this will make Kibo staff not to have any problem when that time of teaching comes.
During the meeting, Manuela told the senior probation officer all what entails Life Skills, they talked about the topics and lessons in the curriculum for example, HIV/AIDS and awareness, communication skills, Decisions making skills, Relationship Skills, listening skills, menstrual hygiene and management and puberty stage of adolescent, Manuela continued and also explained the importance of Life skills to the pupils , that when pupils acquire this skills, they will always make informed decisions for them selves, they learnt how to manage them selves during menstrual time and among others, Manuela went on and told him that Kibo will provide scholastic materials and refreshments for the pupils, when this program phased out of that school, this program will continue but the parents of those children will provide their children with books and pen.
This conversation was good, the district education officer was very happy and liked what Kibo I’d doing.
