Notes
David and Steven were in the village. They found when at one of the community members home miss Asanati there was a duwah .that is a player for the late has-band of hers ,and all the members were in his home. Because the Kibo staff were supposed to have a general village meeting together with the members which was aimed at how the community will take the good future sustainability of their borehole during when the Kibo staff will be away from the village. At Asanati’s home David had to join the rest of the moslems as they were saying their duwah .David joined them by removing his shoes and sitting cross legged until they completed the saying of their duwah prayer . When the members had finished the saying of their duwah prayer one of the sheik who leads them in their mosque announced that after the duwah they will be having a meeting with the Kibo staff who gave them the water they had used for the cleaning of their bodies before the swalla prayer. Everyone was happy to hear that . Later on they all moved and gathered at the shed next to the mosque. David started the meeting by an opening prayer which was led by the sheik mr Isufu Ntale . Later David asked the water user committee members to introduce themselves and their responsibilities . After the introduction the Kibo staff realized that there was only two members of the water user committee and the rest were away . When the members were asked why they were away the members told David that it was because they had mis handled the money for the borehole account .Therefore David asked the members what was there way forward. They said the solution they thought would help was to meet and face the committee members who were a victim of the lost money face to face. They continued and said that another way to solve the problem they were having was to elect anew active water user committee. Also the members requested the Kibo staff to help them with the retraining of the new water user committee about their full roles and responsibilities. David advised the members to fully own their borehole and the responsibility of the borehole and the maintenance of its good status that let it be for everyone in the community.David even continued and warned the members that anytime once the borehole is mishandled ,it will lead to the Kibo staff locking it up. The members promised the Kibo staff that on that Friday that very week they will be having a village borehole meeting which will will be intended to restructure the new active members on the water user committee. Unfortunately the Kibo staff together with the entire village did not even knew the status of the borehole account. Therefore it required for an agent village borehole meeting which was proposed to take place that week on Friday. In general the sanitation status of the village was good . Except the 7 members that were still practicing open deification but were encouraged to improve on their sanitation facilities by the Kibo staff.
