Notes
Alex’s visit to Nawampiti was originally intended for a meeting with all the community members in the village, however there was poor mobilization that the turn up was not very poor. He decided to have a good tour of the whole village. He noticed that there were some new facilities being constructed and the community members told him that another NGO called water missions was teaching hygiene and sanitation in the village. He was checking on the facilities that the community were told to continue having even after the CLTS program from Kibo was done. He also found out that the second well in the same village was in a bad situation too and it also needs attention. He was able to tell the members who came to mobilize their fellow community members for the next meeting scheduled for 6/12/2017. The chairman of the village, Mwanja and Kaswabuli all members of this community promised to mobilize their colleagues next time to come in large numbers and together forge a way forward to get their wells to function normally. One borehole needs a new U3 cylinder and a new head assembly whereas the second one will need also a new cylinder head and 4 pipes as said by one of the community members.
