- Introduction
Manuela went to Kivule village to teach the last lesson under HIV/AIDS and also to review the previous lessons. Reviewing of lessons helps Manuela to access the community members if they really understood the previous lesson or not, if not then Manuela can again repeat the lesson to the community members so that they understand
Objective
- By the end of the lesson, community members will be able to know why it is important to always go for blood screening and get to know their status (STDS)
- Community members will be able to know the importance of treating all sexually transmitted diseases before it is late.
Overview
When Manuela reached the village, she found few people waiting for her to attend her class, she greeted them and asked them where others? One of the woman said that they are coming! Manuela waited for them for about 30minutes then they started coming as Manuela teaches the others who were there.
Manuela started by asking the members about the previous lessons that she taught mother to child transmission, members were able to share their ideas about what they learnt, after that she introduced another lesson which was about the relationship between HIV /AIDS and STDs, she the members who possible it can be, none of the members could give an answer. Manuela told the members that when someone is HIV positive he or she needs to treat all sexually transmitted diseases because if they are not treated then the HIV virus will gain host in ones body for instance, instead of white blood cells fighting the virus, it will be Wasting time to fight the sexually transmitted diseases like gonorrhea Syphilis hepatitis B and among others which is not good.
Finally, Manuela asked the community members if they have enjoyed the lessons, they responded that it was good and they are happy to learn what they didn’t know before.
