Notes
This visit was specifically to follow up on the remaining homes that were still working to improve on their sanitation facilities and to update their status into the third survey. Together with the new water user committee, they visited all these 22 homes checking on all the facilities needed in their homes but with most emphasis on pit latrines. Many of the homes have taken up the initiate since the last two months and have greatly improved. there are many new pit latrines that have been constructed and completed. All the homes were visited and will be updated to know the exact sanitation status of the village. During the next meeting scheduled with the village, the sanitation status will be told to them and to call on them to improve and maintain their sanitation standards. This will also reflect if the village is ready for the next steps in borehole survey and will prepare the village for the water survey. Alex also checked on Tony, a kid that was treated from Jinja and the wound had healed completely. Everyone in this home keeps appreciating the help that was given to this. Alex will go back for a general meeting with all the community members to discuss the next steps.
