Ws Notes
David and Steven were in Bulinda village. This village is not among the current village list. But because of the water stress issues which was reported to the Kibo meeting by the two Kibo staff members Jessica and Tape . David and Steven went to open up the borehole which was reported of having a lot issues . When David and Steven reached Jessica and Tape,s village, they were joined by Jessica and some other three water user committee members who led them to where the borehole was . Before the Kibo staff would go ahead to open the borehole they asked the members who were there for how long was there borehole down. They told the Kibo staff that since Christmas time. The Kibo staff continued and asked the village committee members if they had some money on their borehole account. They responded to David by saying that they only had 20000 shillings as their account balance. However David and Steven they advised them to always be contributing money towards their borehole future repairs. When all that was done ,David and Steven started the opening process and after the whole process they had discovered out that these were the parts which had issues for the borehole not to work effectively. The 10 pipes, had holes in them ,10rods were worn out , the foot valve in the cylinder had fallen off , bolts and the head assembly . After all that was done the Kibo staff because of the limited time factor they told the water user committee members who were around working with them throughout the day . They told the members to start working together as they wait for the general village meeting any day . However the Kibo staff will be communicating the day for the village general meeting through the Jessica and Tape. In general the hygiene and sanitation of the entire village was good because plan international an organization also improving on people sanitation and hygiene equally to the Kibo standards has been active in the village and even the percentage of the hand washing stations , latrines, shower areas and the dish racks was so high in every home. Therefore there will not be need for the Kibo staff making follow ups and visits.
