- Notes
- The rains have started and people are busy planting. Irene and Ida started with a review of the previous lesson. The community seemed not have understood the lesson so the best thing to do was to clearly demonstrate using the basic foods available. And encouraged the group to do a return demonstration.
Irene and Ida divided them into different groups and each individual was encouraged to present the different foods that form a balanced diet. The members got the idea Irene and Ida encouraged the community members to plant a variety of different foods so that they have enough foods to form a balanced diet.Irene then asked the community members to ask questions,Naigaga asked,”what’s the benefit of eating body building foods to the elderly since they are no longer growing? Body building foods also help the elderly in such a way that they make our bones stronger and a balanced diet help them to resist germs.
Topha asked,”is Kibo going to provide the basic foods to make a balanced diet? No Kibo is just giving you knowledge and ideas so that even when Kibo leaves you will remain with the knowledge and pass it on to others.
