Notes
David and Steven were in kisilo and intention of going there was to follow up on the homes which were reflected during the third evaluation to have cases of open deification and still missing out pit latrines. While they were in the village they started moving from where the village starts from towards the lower eastern side behind the trading centre . However the following homes were discovered by the Kibo staff during their home to home movements not meeting the set standards. Nemwa Mary,s home .This is a-home of the widow staying with her four grand sons. There was great improvements because she had paid some one to dig for her a 30feet pit and Good enough David found her when her pit was about 15 feet deeper. She told David that she was aiming at digging a 30 feet deep pit so that even if she dies his or her grand sons would benefit from it . David was happy and encouraged with Nemwa Mary,s ideas . Therefore David advised her to take her time because he was going to buy and use stronger building materials. They continued and moved to mr kiiza. Yaledi,s home . They found when he had finished with his latrine construction but his challenge was that he had not roofed it . David advised him to roof his latrine so first because of the rains that have started. They continued to Samanya Adonyi , Wangolo Patric, isabirye mawazi, mangofu Zipora, wamutawa Ben and Bombo. Silajji. These homes were still missing pit latrines and others have only dug pits and not yet constructed on unfortunately the owners were were away for some garden work. Therefore because they did not meet them in their homes ,the Kibo staff and mr muwada who is the area councilor as well as the Chairman of hygiene and sanitation committee in the village. They decided that the homes which were victims of open deification should be summoned with letters with a set deadline. They were about 30 homes which were registered with cases of open deification. But because of the limited time factor the Kibo staff were able to reached out to a few homes. However mr muwadha had a list of all the homes with cases of open deification but in a different section towards the lower section. Therefore the Kibo staff shall continue to follow up on all the remaining people until they meet the standards. In general the hygiene and sanitation of the rest of the village was good with almost every home smeared. Except for the homes which need to work and improve on their latrines.
