Ws Notes
The water source in bulyowa b is the one Kibo is intending to pattern with the community of bulyowa to repair. This borehole has got eight pipes, and the people move a distance of about 3km to where they can access water to their homes. The residents were told by Kibo staff to cut poles for the construction of a good borehole fence and gathering stones for the soak pit.Mpata the committee adviser and some community members were gathering the poles for the construction of a borehole fence. The poles which were on the borehole were too small and were advised by Kibo staff on the right sizes required. They were also encouraged on digging a good soak pit because, the soak pit which was at the borehole was full of stagnant water which harbors mosquitoes which leaves the community at a disadvantage of contracting Malaria and other diseases. On the borehole account, they were having 75000 shillings. They need a total of two hundred thousand shillings as their borehole contribution for their borehole account. They were advised by Kibo staff to sell off some of their maize so that they can be able to contribute towards their borehole. The members were working and improving on their hygiene facilities like rubbish pits, shower areas, drying racks, new latrines ,smearing of houses and kitchens and presently many were put in place. The entire community members-were encouraged by Kibo staff to continue working on their hygiene as well as contribute towards their accountr
