Notes
David and Steven were in the village to update the sanitation status in the remaining homes that didn’t meet the standards in the third survey. They visited all these homes checking on the facilities in the homes. They met with two sanitation committee members, Basoga and Nkuta David. They split up into two and went around the village checking on facility standards and maintenance. Most of the community members have managed to maintain their facilities and others were told to work more on facility maintenance and making sure their facilities meet the standards at all times. Their focus was to check on the sanitation progress in those homes that reflected in third survey to be missing pit latrines. Some of the people completed their pit latrines and only about 4 people need to do more in their homes. Tenywa Muyigi, kutyabami James, swaga Ibrahim completed their pit latrines. Robert and and kanua Samson still have pits and need to complete them. Wanda Amza is still very stubborn and hasn’t yet worked in his home. All of the homes have been updated into the third survey to reveal the village sanitation status. They also visited the borehole that will be repaired by Kibo to guide the people on how to come up with a standard fence and reminding the committee of their roles and responsibilities. They were told to make sure that the fence is completed soon and making sure the borehole compound is cleaned. The new borehole is still being taken good care of and the borehole status was clean.
