Notes
Abraham met twenty four Bukoma B community members and they went through their drafted constitution but they did not include something they want to as a group. The chairperson said that they want to take the constitution to the sub county for registration. Abraham thanked the members for spending much time writing their constitution, he advised them at least to have something in their constitution which tells about what they hope to do in the future because that tells the direction they will be taking. It is more important to have a goal as a group together. He suggested to them as an example that they may say they are going to grow rice as a group in future and that means they have to get land, seeds, ploughing, weeding, harvesting and storing and finally how they will sell their product. This gives them to prepare, have a time to discuss and by the time they start every member will be at the same page. He even told them to use the former LC3 chairman of Bukoma who is also a member of the group to make sure he can advise them how to do certain things. The group decided that they will be saving some money so that they can give some soft loans to the members. They village has been hit by drought for a long time which has made some trees to die.
