Introduction Life story, this is the another exercise to promote participation to think about their future. By imagining a satisfying and happy future, participants are encouraged to avoid any behavior that might take them away from the path toward their vision. Reason, this lesson is aimed encouraging pupils to share off their stories and enabling pupils to learn from their past aims higher so that they can leave a better life . Objective By the end of the lesson, pupils will understand the story of their friends. Pupils will get to understand the importance of teaching life stories as a lesson in life skills curriculum. Overview When Manuela, Nate and Suzan to reached the school, they went to the headmistress office to sign, after that they went to Life Skills class, Manuela started by introducing the the visitors whom she went with, after that she reviewed the previous lessons as she asks the pupils about what they learnt last week, after that, Manuela reminded the pupils that they are going to continue with life stories and your goals, Manuela called for a volunteer to share their life stories, one of the students called Mary, Namukose and merembe, Mary shared how her mother abandoned her at the neighborhood and decided to go away, Namukose shared how her steps dad would abuse her and if she tells her mother she would say that that girl is laying until she got infected with sexual transmitted diseases, then Merembe shared her steps mother mistreated her and dealing for her men to use her for her she would get money, this was so sad and bad. After that, Manuela introduced to the pupils to another lesson which was your goals, this lesson is intended to help participants begin to creat an action plan for their goals participants are guided through a process of mapping out their steps and achieve their goals. Manuela explained to the pupils the importance of having a goal for life , she went on and told the pupils that, it is very important for this lesson to be taught immediately after life stories because it will help the pupils to leave the past and move on with new life which is better, after that Manuela requested the pupils to write down their goals either short term or long term , some pupils came in front and shared their goals, Manuela would asked them why they want to become that person they have chosen, pupils gave reasons what they want to become, Manuela advised the pupils on how they should be if they want to achieve their goals. Finally, Manuela encouraged the pupils to read hard, be discipline, read their-books and also follow their dreams.
