Notes
David and Steven were in the village. Their intentions of going their was to check about the sanitation progress in the entire village. Because previously when they were in the village they had divided the whole village into zones . The Kibo staff divided the village because they wanted to easier the work of village follow ups for the sanitation committee members . While David ,Steven along with some committee members were in the village . They started moving from the first zone which was mr wakiso isimayili’s zone . In wakiso isimayili,s zone the Kibo saw some new facilities but unfortunately some were not up to standard. Therefore David encouraged and even demonstrated for the owners of the facilities which were not meeting the rightful standards for them so that they would improve on them. The Kibo staff appreciated the leader of the first zone and advised him to continue encouraging everyone in his zone to work as if it was the best home all over entire village. The Kibo staff and the team of leaders continued moving to the next zone which was for mr Isaac . They found when the wife of the most stubbornest guy Wakasanke had half way constructed her latrine and almost it was left only to be roofed. They thanked wakasanke’s wife for such a good work since she was a single mother who was abandoned by his has-band wakasanke for some other place .They advised her to even improve on his shower area since she had construction materials just close by in her home . They continued moving home to home to the third zone. The leader of the zone was miss Namukasa .When they moved around Namukasa’s zone the Kibo staff were so much encouraged because in that zone everyone was at least doing some improvements in his home. The team meet mr sekyondwa Agrey whom mis Namukasa had advised to construct his latrine when he had dug 15 feet deep pit . Mr Namukasa the zone leader for that zone even told the Kibo staff that he was aiming at digging up to 35 feet deep . They encouraged him to use better construction materials for the sustainability of his latrine because he will have used a lot time. The team continued moving to the forth zone which was for the village chairman mr kakayire. They were not so much encouraged because in the chairman’s zone there was less progress . Therefore the team advised the village chairman to take a lead towards the changing of his zone as well as the entire village. They visited lastly to the last zone which was for paster lubale. They were happy and encouraged that there was great improvements.Much more in mr David tigawalana’s home who used to run away whenever the Kibo staff would intend to visit him during the village follow ups . They were extremely happier hearing from him confessing that he even wanted to construct a better kitchen in his home . After all that was done the Kibo staff and the team thought of having a small strategic and way forward meeting. They however concluded that they should even involve the parish chief Mis Tibikawa frolence and the area councilor mr mpawulo in some of their village follow ups. They all agreed prayed and departed for their respective different homes and the Kibo staff left for Jinja . In general village has started improving except for some homes which needs to work and improve on some of their sanitation facilities.
