- Ws Notes
- David and Steven first went to visit the remaining homes which had not finished to work and met the required standards of their facilities. David and Steven found Wapesa James in his home and looked at the pit latrine that he had dug up to 15ft but was still continuing. He had completed his bathing shelter, David and Steven were very happy for him and kept encouraging him to continue working to be able to finish. Together with the committee adviser Sam Mpango, he took them to go and look at the poles and sizes to be used to construct a borehole fence. The committee had collected the poles for the fence and the following day they were hoping to collect stones for the soak pit. The poles were required for building a strong borehole fence, they told them to bring the poles to the borehole site and plan on starting to dig the holes for the fence. Also they told the members to bring the stones for the soak pit. They have 450000 sh cash on the borehole account and the committee said they were still collecting more money from those that have not yet paid. In general, from what was observed during the recent evaluation, the sanitation standards in most of the homes have met required standards. They continue to plead to Kibo every time to help them and solve the water stress issue they have by repairing this broken borehole.
