Notes
David and Steven were in kigalama . Their intentions of going there was to prepare the sanitation committee members for the coming third evaluation. They first moved to the borehole because they wanted to asses the status of the borehole. However at the borehole the Kibo staff were so happy because the community had taken good care of the borehole. The Kibo staff appreciated the care taker and even advised him to continue with the good work of taking the lead towards the good care of the borehole that he was carrying forward. David and Steven while at the borehole the caretaker told the Kibo staff that they had 240000 shillings as their borehole account balance. David went ahead and advised the care taker that they should continue holding village sanitation and borehole progressive meetings as a way of monitoring how they will be progressing. When David and Steven left the borehole promise they moved in quite a good numbly homes. However they were happy seeing that about 15 new latrines were constructed as away of replacing the old ones. David was impressed with mis Mariam who confessed before David . She said that if it wasn’t the Kibo ,she would not have got a-chance of having a latrine in his husband’s home . Therefore Mariam requested the Kibo staff to continue checking on them . She said that it always revives and kind of reminds them to maintain the required sanitation standards. The Kibo staff advised the entire village wherever they reached to always maintaining their sanitation to the required standards. In general the hygiene and sanitation of the entire village was good except for the few homes which were still working on the construction of some of their new latrine.
