Notes
When Alex B arrived in Maliga upper,he first checked up with some members to see how the trees were doing(The tree that the community planted from kibo group.).This was done because the rain season has started and this is the time when the trees get affected by pests and diseases. There after, they proceeded to the meeting place where they found members ready for the meeting. They had an opening prayer that was led by Isiko George one of the members. Fidah the chairperson of the group told the members that it was important to begin a saving scheme since they opened a group bank account which is now active. She told the members the need to make personal savings as well as group saving in order to keep the account active. The Lc1 chairperson Kawuzi seconded the idea by saying that members should always attend meetings regularly. He also said as it will help them to discuss and learn more about saving, and not only money but also food for their families. The members that attended that day bought the idea of saving scheme. They also suggested that all the members should benefit out of it after learning more about it. Alex B guided them not to make decisions very fast about how money they should begin or start with to save. He asked the leaders of the group to come up with a document how that scheme will benefit the members and the group. The document should be presented to the members for discussion and approval.
