Notes: Alex had a meeting with the water user committee to discuss about the next step in borehole test pumping and installation and what the community is expected to do during this exercise. The water user committee was called on to encourage their fellow community members to participate whenever they are called upon. The water committee is very active and looks ready to have the next team on the new borehole. Alex also met with the area chairman LC 3 and councilor to encourage them to also be part of this borehole construction and mobilize the village to work together in all what Kibo is doing in the village. Alex also mobilized the village for a general meeting to teach them more about their roles and responsibilities towards the borehole. They also visited Makule’s home to check on their sanitation facilities and on a very good note he completed a new pit and only remaining to construct on it. He has one pit latrine in place but Alex talked to him to start digging a new one because the old one is about to get full. Jalilu also has completed constructing on his pit latrine. Both of these families live near the new borehole being drilled. Alex will go back to continue preparing the village before the borehole is done.
