Notes
Enock and Martin carried out an evaluation survey to check on the facilities which exists in these homes. They moved home to home to check, teach, evaluate, encourage, monitor, assess the progress of latrine construction, dish racks, shower areas, hand washing facilities, rubbish pits, kitchen areas and also the general sanitation of homes. As they walked around the homes, they noticed that many people are just constructing new latrines, rubbish and dish racks. Some people were scared when they saw Martin and Enock writing down their names while carrying out the evaluation. They also realized that in this village, many homes practice witch crafts, they built so many shrines. Actually they have never seen a church in this village, they only have a mosque. They walked also in the section of the swamp area to continue capturing data. The homes in this section had latrines which were almost full, Enock told the VHT who is keeping the pick axes to give this family to start digging a latrine holes right away. But as they are digging, the rest of the people can be working on dish racks and rubbish pits. The people who already have latrines, Enock and Martin encouraged them to use ash in the latrines, some people also working on shower areas. Some people in this section draw water from the near by swamp which they use for all home consumption say drinking, washing utensils, cooking and more. Most of the people they visited promised to construct good standard facilities in their homes. This is because Enock and Martin walked around teaching them the importance and benefits of all the facilities in homes.

778 In the picture, this family is breaking down the old shower area and promised to construct a new one before next week.
780 There is a section in this village which draws water from this swamp and it’s used for all purposes( drinking, washing utensils, cooking and more). They have one borehole in this village, it’s distant but if it breaks, all the community residents use the swamp water till the borehole is repaired. This village has a big population.
