Notes
David and Steven were in the village . Their intention of going there was to have a village general sanitation improvements meeting. While in the village David and Steven were joined by mr lubale and some twenty members from the different homes to they moved checking on the sanitation progress. They did so as they were waiting for some other community members to turn up for the meeting they had planned. During the kibo’s home to home movements they noted that there was great improvements in the homes they visited. However David was so encouraged with mr Agrey Sekyondwa’s latrine pit because he was busy digging and it was about 23 feet . Mr sekyondwa told the David and the VH T mis Namukasa that he was aiming at digging it up to 40 feet deep. Therefore David thanked Sekyondwa and advised him to use strong construction materials for the durability of his latrine . After all that was done on their way back to where the meeting was going to be ‘ they were lucky to find mr wakasanke in his home for their first time. They encouraged him to love his family as well as his home instead of him only siding in the second home alone . Mr wakasanke requested the Kibo staff to give him a grace period of two weeks. He said he will have completed with the improvements on his home sanitation facilities . David accepted wakasanke ‘s request and told him to start from where wakasanke’s wife had ended with the sanitation improvement work . From wakasanke’s home the Kibo staff went to the trading centre where the majority of the community members had gathered. They started the meeting with an opening prayer which was lead by Tibakawa Frolence the sub county chief. Later afterwards David invited the parish chief to react on the set deadline date which the village had failed to meet. Miss Tibakawa Florence told the members that she had added them only two more weeks before everyone in the village gets to improve and meet the set standard. However during the corse of the village and the parish chief reaching out the compromise, the parish councilor also joined them mr Lubandi . Therefore mr lubandi stood up and changed the grace period of two weeks instead which the chief had proposed giving the village by lowering it to one and a half a week. The parish concilor mr lubandi and the parish chief mr TibKawa Florence concluded with the village members by giving them one and a half a week for them to finish working and improving on their sanitation standards. The parish councilor advised everyone in the village to improve on their sanitation standards and failure to meet the set deadline it will lead to further action by the sub-county In general the hygiene and sanitation of the entire village has started improving. Except for some homes which needs to work and improve on their sanitation standards.
