Notes
Tape,Jessica and Suzan went to Ituba Namalowe to build more demonstration stoves as also they encouraged the community members to participate. When they arrived there, they went to a home where the next demonstration was going to take place and found most of the members gathered and busy mixing and stamping the dirt for building the stove. The community got so excited to see Kibo staffs and welcomed them while dancing and singing songs of joy. There and then Kibo staffs joined them in stamping the dirt until it got ready for building. Tape went into the kitchen with a few members and first detected the directions where the winds came from, this was a very important step to take and show to the community because for a stove to catch fire and cook food faster and easily, it needed enough wind to blow in. She then took measurements on the kitchen floor where the stove was going to be built as she explained to the members. The members began carrying the dirt into the kitchen and together they built the stove with the each member at least participating in every step. Participation was highly encouraged by Kibo staffs because the members needed to master the skills for building the stove easily without being left behind. The members were also encouraged to keep asking the questions during the demonstration process which enabled them to understand the steps effectively. The community was so grateful for the lessons taught that day and promised to always work together for an effective development which would also improve on their healthy wellbeing. Kibo staffs thanked all the members for taking part in building the stove and requested them to keep practicing building for other members whenever they found free time and since practice also makes perfect. The meeting then came to an end after they all agreed on the next date that the next meeting would take place. The community wished Kibo staffs a safe journey back home.
