- Notes
- Ida went to Naibowa and reviewed the previous lessons that she evaluated on. She mainly focused on the lesson they didn't understand which was about hygiene. When Ida asked about what happens when the house is swept in the evening?, the majority said that they will bring curses in the village, home or house.
Ida reminded them the importance of sweeping and that it doesn't matter what time one sweeps and who sweeps, and that they need to teach the children Roles at home.
She added by telling them that, Our ancestors knew that sometimes we tend to be busy and find ourselves sweeping at night. That's why they discouraged us sweeping at night. They discouraged sweeping at night hence coming up with stories of how sweeping at night will take away all the blessings? hence sweeping should be done in the morning.
She also asked them to Bathe two times a day if possible, which is the best. By doing this, all the germs that stick on our skin are washed and also feel fresh from work . She added that, brushing teeth is important including that of our children's. It helps their gums to be stronger and healthier. Even other related teeth diseases will not attack our children.
To the Women, she asked them to bathe everyday at least once if water is a problem. Also to Wash hands with soap/ash after using the latrine.
She also asked the ladies to please always tell their husbands the truth when done with their monthly periods, and not lying to them because they will think that it's an excuse yet God planned it for the good of our health.
The community thanked Kibo for teaching them what they didn't know and asked to continue helping them with such inspiring lessons.
