Notes
Suzan and Jessica went to Bupeni village to practically teach the community how to build the fuel efficient stove and when they arrived there, they found some members already gathered at the meeting place outside the church. The community welcomed Kibo staffs with songs of joy and later settled down discussing about the activities to be carried out that day. In the discussions, the members informed Kibo staffs of how they had already organized the building materials at one of their members homes. And without wasting time, they got up and moved to the home where the demonstration process was going to be carried out. The members assisted in fetching the dirt from the anthill near the bush while carrying it to the home until it was enough. Suzan and Jessica then began counting and mixing two basins of dirt to one basin of grass at ago until it made 12 basins of dirt and 6 basins of grass all together. This was carried out while the community was watching since it was the first demonstration taking place in the village. Jessica and Suzan kept on explaining every step to the members and its importance which enabled them understand easily. And together they stamped the dirt while singing and dancing until they made it soft and ready for building the stove. The dirt was then carried into the kitchen placing it at the corner of the kitchen which would make it easier to pick and build. Jessica and Suzan began building the stove while they explained each step to the members, this was very important because it enabled them to try and learn easily. Kibo staff also welcomed questions from the members which also enabled them to master the skills for building the stove easily without being left behind. And after building the stove, the members agreed on the home that the next demonstration stove would be built and thanked Kibo staffs for the healthy and safe kitchen program that was introduced in their community, saying that it would greatly improve on their healthy wellbeing. Kibo staffs went ahead and thanked all the members for taking their effort to come to the meeting and encouraged them to improve on their hygiene and sanitation as well as smearing their kitchens and facilities for a better healthy living. The meeting finally came to an end wishing one another a good blessed day.
