- A new head assembly, cylinder, 4 pvc pipes and 4 rods were installed . Together with the hand pump mechanic and some community members were busy working on this borehole and completed the repair. After the repair, the community was reminded of their roles and responsibilities that each one has got an equal responsibility to make sure the borehole functions at all times. It’s very important to contribute money towards their borehole account for any future repair. They were told not to expect any one to come in with the help to fix their well whenever it would break but its rather a community responsibility to repair their own borehole whenever it breaks down. Alex told the water user committee led by Franco that they have got a big job to guide their village to take good care of their well. Also the village was reminded about a safe water chain making sure that the clean water got from a clean borehole should get into a clean home so the village people were encouraged once again to maintain their sanitation standards. The village was very happy that Kibo helped them to have this second well repaired on addition to the new well that was recently drill by Kibo group and all promised to take good care of both boreholes that they have in their village. Alex also went to check on the new well given by Kibo group to asses it’s status and found that the soak pit had flooded and needed urgent attention. Alex together with some water users and two borehole caretakers agreed to empty the soak pit by removing the stinky water. This soak pit ho5 filled up due to the current rains and the water that run off from pumping. There was also a general cleanness of the well by sweeping and digging the bush that had started to grow around the well. The caretakers had excuses that both were away for two weeks that’s why the well had been mis managed but they vowed to work very closely with other water users to maintain their well.

- Alex and Steven met the community members busy completing a new borehole fence. The borehole hand pump mechanic had also removed the old parts that needed to be replaced.

- The water user committee for the new Kibo borehole that was recently drilled in this village has stayed active and the two borehole caretakers take are very keen making sure the borehole is pumped well as expected.

- The current stove program has been impactful to the community and many people appreciate for learning the skill

- All the water users need to contribute some money towards their borehole before the next meeting and make sure that the borehole account has got some funds for the future borehole repair and maintenance
