Notes
Alex B met thirty nine members of Bukudumira about the loan and saving scheme.kigoolo Swaibu one of the people working to see that they open a group bank account gave remarks about it. They went to the Post bank to find out the requirements for the group to open it .The list was nine items and so far they were remaining with only with two items to submit in for consideration. Alex B thanked the members for effort they had put to reach on that level and unity within the group. He urged them to develop a mind thinking the best and safe way to keep their funds to be in the bank. He told the members the importance of having knowledge about the loan and saving scheme as they were in process of opening group bank account. He asked them what is meant by loan and saving scheme? Babirye Alice answered when she said that both are the same. The members were told as the loan is different from saving. They were told that loan is not only in cash form but can be in a form service like one that would go school through loan and pay it after studies. The loan in their group was about mostly after saving is made by members or when the group have received money from donors and group projects. The loan can be applied when money is there or hoped in the group.Saving in the group is money kept by members with their treasury as person or on a group bank account. He told them as records are important to be kept while handling money. Alex B with some members went to see how their group garden project was doing. They noted that peas that was planted as a group the pests had started affecting them .They decided from there to spray because already they money for pesticides. He told them as it was important for them since it is a demonstration garden to all the members to be visiting that garden. To make a learning project and also they will get a good harvest.
