Notes
Abraham, Falon, Nate and two Harding student met forty four Ikumbya community members and the went around checking hygiene and sanitation, the bore hole, trees and chicken coop. They went and see where they piled the timbers for the next coop. There is one lady and she maintains her kitchen and every time we visit it is like new and she has the best stove, it is as if they made it yesterday. They went to the meeting place at Mutebe’s home and because of the rain which was got them on the way from the bore hole, they all squeezed in the house and some members stayed outside. The chairperson Mss Nabirye Rose told the meeting that the members contributed two thousand shillings and they managed to cut timbers for the next chicken coop. She said they have more timbers but we did not see because it was raining hard. She said that there is a government official who visited them and he is hoping to bring the speaker of Parliament to see what they are doing. They were advised to put the timber under the shelter because may destroy them. Abraham and the visitors thanked the members the members for hard work they are doing together. Abraham encouraged them to start also thinking about opening a group account because they will be having much money from the eggs and keeping that money in the house it is difficult. He told them that he is going to call the CDO to make sure he is on the same page with them and they will be getting the district officials.
