Health lesson 9: Disease Recognition

Irene went to kitukiro to continue with disease recognition basically talking about the skin infections, Irene started with a recap of the previous lesson. Irene then asked for the meaning of the word ‘Skin’ with different answers,Irene clarified then informed the members that it’s also the body’s largest organ with different functions that included covering,protection,beauty and many others as discussed. Irene also added that our skins can can be affected especially if the the things discussed happened to it, and gave examples that included wounds,weakened immunity and others. some infections cover a small area and others affect the whole body. Irene also discussed the different types of skin infection giving the different signs accordingly though some may have similar signs. Irene later requested for questions from the members and gave them an assignment to go find out the different skin diseases that could be presenting in their community and next time they meet they will talk about the causes, who is at risk,prevention and the best way to treat them.
