Tom with the committee members and the chairman of the village moved in the upper section of the village checking on improvements in Sanitation and hygiene through the construction of sanitation facilities. While moving around, they came across some homes working while others have not done anything. For those that have done nothing, they were encouraged to start working while those who are constructing facilities were encouraged to continue doing so as well as were guided on construction methods and facility standards. In the first three homes visited, the residents had started on constructing shower facilities. Tom and the committee members encouraged them about the stand as and height of the facility. In one home, there was also a dish rack being constructed and Tom guided the resident on the standard of the poles as well as size of the Ian rack. Later they met a resident for one home digging a pit. The resident had gone about 3.5ft but had dug a very small pit. Tom and the committee members encouraged and guided him of the appropriate size of the pit. They also encouraged him to dig a deeper pit because he has a big home. In the homes neighboring bunaibani village, they found three new pits being dug even though they did not find residents in there homes. Tom and the committee members discussed about involving government officials in the program so that every resident starts working. Tom advised them not to use the government officials to harass the residents but rather to guide the residents. Tom after left for jinja
